Cráneos vudú de Bokonos (TIV - Nigeria)
Los cráneos reliquia se encuentran en muchas culturas, también en África, a través del vudú como religión, con culturas como la TIV de Nigueria; guiados por la adivinación del Fa, los sacerdotes vudú o Bokonos eligen a menudo para decorar sus altares restos de animales, pero también de seres humanos: fémures, tibias o mandíbulas.
Los restos humanos como los cráneos son muy valorados porque son poderosos y peligrosos con ellos, los descendientes de la familia utilizan el cráneo de su antepasado para mantenerse en contacto con su espíritu y con el mas allá, permitiéndoles aumentar sus poderes asumiendo los del difunto cuyo cráneo utilizan y darán a su propietario un estatus privilegiado.
